DAWN-IRES Scholars Alumni

2026 Cohort

The 2026 DAWN-IRES Scholars Program brought a lively cohort of 5 undergraduate students and 2 graduate students to Copenhagen for the summer. You can check out photos in the 2026 Alumni Album. For the annual DAWN Summit, the IRES Scholars joined a center-wide trip to the Island of Hven — where Tycho Brahe had his observatory — revisiting a 2019 DAWN tradition and following in the footsteps of the inaugural IRES cohort.

2022 Cohort

2021 Cohort

This group of students, including 5 undergraduates and 3 graduate students, has grit — persevering through the cancelled 2020 program and a remote 2021 program — but they did spectactular none-the-less! Half of the cohort went to Copenhagen for the final 2 weeks of the program and the other half visited in June 2022 for the annual DAWN Summit and the long-delayed DAWN Conference. 2019 Cohort

Congratulations to the inaugural cohort of DAWN-IRES Scholars. As a picture is worth a thousand words, you can learn more about their experiences abroad through their 2019 Alumni Album. This first cohort was the only undergraduate-only group, including 7 students.
